How do you define mutually reinforcing activities

Hi all

Given that mutually re-inforcing activities are a key component of Collective Impact I wonder if anyone has done any work to look at any commonalities in the case studies? I am also looking to test out the concept in health and social care here in the UK and also wanting to test the scale, spread and impact, however want to stert on the right footing by being clear on what a mutually re-inforcing activity actually is! So far, I have only found the very broad definitition, which hasn't been a lot of help in landing the concept with my partners locally. (sorry about the spelling, my keyboard is pants!)

many thanks
