Posted 7 years ago at 12:17 am

Hello, Forum members! This is our May discussion thread for the Forum's Social Change Book Club. This month's pick is Deepening Community: Finding Joy Together in Chaotic Times by Paul Born. (Purchase links at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.)

In this thread, we welcome you to share your thoughts, reflections, and questions about Deepening Community and about your thoughts about being in a community. Some questions to explore include:

1) What does “community” mean to you? Where do you experience community now in your life?

2) Much of our collective impact work is about working better together. What has been some of your favorite times or moments where you were working “in community” with others?

3) What are the things that you think help build community? What practical examples or practices can you think help build community?

Share your thoughts on Deepening Community for a chance to win a free ebook of a past Forum book club selection!

For each person who shares their thoughts and reflections about Deepening Community or about your experiences building community, you will be automatically entered into a random drawing to win a free ebook of a past Forum book club selection. (The choice is yours!)

To be eligible to win: our only requirement is that we ask you to share your thoughts and questions about this month's reading.

The drawing for the next book will be done on June 1.

Please join us all month to discuss Deepening Community. We'd love to hear what you think!
