Oct/Nov Book Club Pick - The Solution Revolution

Posted 4 years ago at 4:52 am

Hello, Forum members! This is our October/November discussion thread for the Forum's Social Change Book Club.

This period’s pick is The Solution Revolution: How Business, Government, and Social Enterprises Are Teaming Up to Solve Society's Toughest Problems by William D. Eggers and Paul Macmillan. (Purchase links at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.)

In this thread, we welcome you to share:

  • your thoughts, reflections, and questions about The Solution Revolution and/or
  • about your thoughts relating to your own work. What large social change challenges are you working on?

Share your thoughts on The Solution Revolution for a chance to win a free ebook of the Dec/Jan selection Meansuring the Networked Nonprofit!

For each person who shares their thoughts and reflections related to The Solution Revolution or about your won project, you will be automatically entered into a random drawing to win a free ebook of the Dec/Jan selection  Measuring the Networked Nonprofit: Using Data to Change the World by Beth Kanter and Katie Delahaye Paine.

To be eligible to win: our only requirement is that we ask you to share your thoughts about the book or share about the issues that your organization are working to solve.

The drawing for the next book will be done on November 30.

Please join us over this month and next to discuss The Solution Revolution. We'd love to hear what you think!

I just bought the book to read so I can participate. Is there a main page for the book club with more info? Thanks!

Thanks, Lacey! The Book Club doesn't have a specific page on the Forum site, but we start up a new thread in the community discussion for each book. We'd love to hear your thoughts if you've started The Solution Revoluiton. What did you think?

Just purchased the book and shared with all my South Sound Partners for Philanthropy and Thurston Thrives members.  Perfect timing to get us working from the same page for 2016.
