Measures of Success 1. Kindergarten Readiness - % of 3- and 4-year olds enrolled in a high quality early education program in Pima County 2. Early Grade Reading Proficiency - % of 3rd graders passing state reading standards in Pima County 3. Middle School Math Proficiency - % of 8th graders passing state math standards in Pima County 4. High School Graduation - Pima County High School Graduation Rate (both 4- and 5- year cohorts) 5. Re-engagement of Youth Not in School or Work - % of 16-24 year olds not in school, nor working 6. Post-Secondary Completion - % of high school graduates who enroll in a post-secondary institution within 6 months of high school graduation and % of high school graduates who obtain a 2-year or 4-year degree within 6 years of high school graduation 7. Career Attainment - % of 20-24 year olds who are employed Initiative Activities and Milestones Activities Establishment of a Re-Engagement Center for Opportunity Youth Study of effective blended learning models to increase literacy levels for Opportunity Youth Imbedded math tutors in Early Education Associates Degree programs to produce more degreed ECE teachers Milestones 35 Active Leadership Council Members Release of a Baseline Data Report Launch of a partnership website Community Engagement and Advancing Equity Community Engagement Activities Community meetings Opportunity Youth are members of an advisory and participatory group of the Opportunity Youth Change Network and also attend the Change Network meetings Weekly Update goes out to the community on major wins for the week Activities to Advance Equity Disaggregating data by race/ethinicity; english language learners, and students with disabilities. Each of the Change Networks has it's own steering committee holding itself accountable for measurable impact in that specific outcome area. There are advisory groups that serve as support teams in the areas of Data & Research, Commuications, Community Engagement and Public Policy that make recommendations to the Leadership Council.
